Ronan Haslette (Managing Director Merenda – Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim)

Presentation Title: The Impact of Globalisation on an Indigenous SME – Merenda’s Story

Joining the family business as Sales Manager in 2003, Ronan has followed in his father’s footsteps, becoming MD of Merenda in 2008. Prior to this he worked for Coca-Cola and Aer Lingus in both management and business development roles.  

Under his management, Merenda has achieved great enterprising success having been awarded the Manufacturing Excellence Award in 2019, with shortlisting for Manufacturing Exporter of the Year at the Irish Export Association Awards in 2023 and shortlisting for the Wood Manufacturer of the Year at the Manufacturing Excellence Awards in 2024.  

Ronan was awarded Leitrim Entrepreneur of the Year by the All-Ireland Business Foundation in 2024.
